Bridged tokens can arrive without appearing in your wallet

A missing bridged token may be a wallet display issue or a transfer still in progress; check the destination explorer and bridge status before taking action.

Bridged tokens can arrive without appearing in your wallet

When a bridged token does not appear, the transfer may still be processing, or the destination wallet may simply not display the asset. A successful transaction on the source chain confirms that the transfer started; it does not, by itself, confirm that tokens reached the destination.

The destination chain’s records show whether the tokens arrived, while the wallet only shows what its interface can detect.

How can I tell whether the bridge transfer finished?

Check the bridge’s transaction history first, then use the destination transaction hash or recipient address to search the destination chain’s block explorer. A bridge may need to confirm the source transaction, send a cross-chain message and complete a separate destination transaction; some routes also require the user to claim the funds.

For example, a mantle bridge deposit and withdrawal can involve different steps and costs, so a source-side success message is not the whole story. Look for a completed destination transaction and a token transfer to the address you intended to receive the funds.

Why does my wallet show no balance after completion?

Wallets display balances for a selected network and a list of tokens they recognize. If the destination transaction succeeded, check that the wallet is connected to the destination network and that the receiving address matches the one in the bridge record.

If both are correct, the token may need to be added manually. Use the token’s contract address on the destination chain, found through the bridge’s own token details or a trusted project source; a familiar symbol alone is not enough, because unrelated tokens can use the same symbol.

  • Confirm the destination network in the wallet.
  • Check the recipient address recorded by the bridge.
  • Look up that address on the destination chain’s block explorer.
  • If the transfer completed, verify the token contract before adding it.

Adding a token changes what the wallet displays; it does not move funds or complete a pending bridge transfer. If the explorer shows the transfer at the intended address, the balance is on-chain even if the wallet’s token list has not updated.

What if the destination explorer shows no tokens?

Return to the bridge status page and check whether the transfer is pending, failed or waiting for a claim. If it is still processing, wait for the bridge’s stated next step rather than submitting the same transfer again; a second attempt can create a separate transaction and fee.

If the bridge says complete but the destination explorer shows no transfer, check the destination hash, address and network recorded in the bridge interface. Some routes deliver a bridged version of an asset with a different contract from the token on the source chain, so search for the destination asset, not just the original token name.

When should I contact bridge support?

Contact the bridge operator if its status says complete but the destination transaction is missing, or if the destination transaction failed. Share the source transaction hash, destination address, networks and bridge status; never share a seed phrase or private key.

For most missing-balance cases, the destination explorer is the clearest next check. It separates a display problem from a transfer that still needs time, a claim or help from the bridge.
